A paper is only as strong as what others can verify. Science Orbit attaches replication attempts directly to the work they evaluate — so trust is earned in public, not assumed from a journal name.
Replication records
Anyone with an account can log a replication attempt — replicated, partially replicated, or conflicting — with a summary and optional evidence link.
Reproducibility index
Each paper gets a 0–100 score from linked code and data, reachability checks, replication attempts, and reproducibility reviews — not from popularity or citations.
Reputation for rigor
Successful replications and careful replication reporting contribute to researcher reputation — rewarding work that strengthens the record.
Why reproducibility matters
Science advances when claims can be checked. Yet replication efforts are often unpublished, uncredited, or disconnected from the original paper. Readers are left guessing whether findings have been independently tested.
On Science Orbit, replication is a first-class part of every paper. The Replications tab collects attempts, summaries, and links to evidence. The paper page shows a reproducibility index breakdown so readers can see exactly which signals contribute. Explore lets you filter for replicated work across the platform.

How to submit a replication
Open a paper, go to the Replications tab, and describe your attempt: what you tried to reproduce, what happened, and optionally link to data, code, or a write-up. Your record stays attached to the paper for future readers.
Authors can revise their work in response to replication feedback — uploading new versions with changelogs that explain what changed and why.
Honest science includes failures
Negative or conflicting replication results are valuable. Science Orbit keeps them visible alongside positive replications so the community can weigh evidence transparently. Retractions, when needed, are handled by authors and clearly labeled on the paper page.
